展示室のご案内
佐賀県富士町の山あい、北山湖を望む静かな集落に、
北山窯の展示室がございます。
茅葺き屋根の母屋に隣接した小さなギャラリーでは、
初代・小川哲男の作品と、二代目・小川洋一による新作を常設展示しております。
土の質感や釉薬の表情、日常に寄り添う器の手ざわりを、
ゆっくりとお手に取ってご覧いただけます。
季節ごとにテーマを変え、
器、花器、茶器などの展示・販売を行っております。
春と秋には「窯開き」として新作展も開催し、
全国から多くの方に足をお運びいただいております。
自然の音に包まれながら、
土と炎が織りなす静かな美の世界をお楽しみください。

Exhibition Room Information
Nestled in the quiet mountains of Fuji-machi, Saga,
the Kitayama Kiln exhibition room welcomes visitors to experience the serene world of Japanese pottery.
Adjacent to the thatched-roof main house,
this small gallery permanently exhibits the works of Tetsuo Ogawa, the founder of Kitayama Kiln,
together with new creations by Yoichi Ogawa, the second-generation potter.
Visitors can take their time to observe and feel the texture of the clay,
the subtle tones of the glazes, and the warmth of handmade vessels that accompany everyday life.
Throughout the year, the exhibition theme changes with the seasons.
Tableware, flower vases, and tea utensils are displayed and available for purchase.
In spring and autumn, the kiln hosts an Open Studio Exhibition (Kamabiraki),
where new works are unveiled and visitors from all over Japan come to enjoy the art and landscape of Kitayama.
